Decker has always been a "country" performer, but her latest album was produced and promoted to a mass market. Decker's music was under greater attention after the launch in the form of two hits. The next song, Boys in the Summer featured a rural feel. Decker released her second album under two different titles: Sweet American Dreams or Daughter of a Gypsy. Mercury decided to put it back on the shelf following the initial three singles fell in the country charts. Decker then was let go from the contract.
