Julia-roberts

Julia Fiona Roberts, born October 28, 1967 from Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. She is the fourth Roberts generation living in Atlanta that began with her grandfather who was a farmer, John Pendleton Roberts. She inherited her father's interest in the theatre at a young time. He acted on the Emory University campus in 1952 and also in other productions throughout Atlanta. He joined the military in 1953. While being stationed at Biloxi Mississippi, was a part of an military production starring Betty Lou Bredemus who was also in the air force. The couple married in 1955. Their first child Eric Anthony was born in 1956. Walter was studying at Tulane University, New Orleans Louisiana. In 1957, the couple had a break from the military and Walter began his studies at Tulane University. Walter began working for Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio in 1960. In 1964 Walter as well as Betty Lou began production on the local Saturday morning children's television program called Bum Bum and His Buddies that they funded themselves. In 1964 Betty Lou and Walter established The Actors and Writers Workshop. The organization lasted for a total of 6 years. They were joined by Lelisa Billingsley (also referred to as Lisa) as well as Julia (also known as Julie) at the time.
