Her birthday is on 29 March 1985 in Roswell in New Mexico. Gerina Michelle was her birth name. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parentage Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). She is Mexican and American. At a very young age the desire for her to be active in sports was strong. Gerina started playing golf at the age of she reached the age of 15. Gerina was a student at Goddard High School. When she was in high school, she took home her first prize in the New Mexico state golf tournament. Along with the sport of volleyball, she played on the state level. Her first college was at the University of Texas. As a senior, she took home the top prize in every single tournament that she played in. In her undergraduate time, she was awarded the Conference USA Individual Champion Player of the Year award and the Female UTEP athlete of the year.

Susan Schull was the current director for Hawaii Ballet. Amanda went to Punahou School for pursuing early education.
