Her most recent project as a director was the short movie The God Who Sees, which starred Nicole C. Mullen. The two co-wrote the entire music to the film. Gifford provides support to a variety of groups for children including Childhelp. She also supports The Association to Benefit Children, that was the source of Cassidy's Place. Her humanitarian efforts within the realm of employment relations has led to her receiving an honorary doctorate in the field of labor relations from Marymount University.
