Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
My child played around in a playpen while I worked 12-hour days in sanding floors and taking down the wallpaper. Ha! Ha! It all started to seem logical, however it was still far from being completed. It was going to take lots of time and money as well as my favourite brands of furniture to furnish this home. To keep the budget in check, I began attending estate sales with three brothers to search for diamonds in the rough. Our weekly routine was to walk from Thursday through Saturday through garage and estate sales buying a mixture of antique and brand new furniture as well as spending the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. It looked a bit similar to this... This is where my love for restoring antique furniture started. I continued to restore furniture, even after having decorated our house. There was an area at the local markets that I could sell my items. Eventually, my collection grew so large that the room I had available was not enough. More than 1000 people came to my home in just one weekend to purchase everything on the ground floor. That's how my company Growing Days was born. As my business flourished as did our family. The balance between work and family was crucial for me. I wished to be both a mom and also a successful business owner. Growing Days just fit. Nora was born in 2013 and became our fourth baby. Although I was happy with the direction my business was taking, I realized that I had to take some time off. I took a pause from creating vintage furniture and I slowed down my speed to be at home to help my children. That was exactly what i needed. After a few months that the phones started to be ringing. They asked for assistance with interior decorating and renovations. The majority of them walked into my house at my open house for furniture. I began to take on customers one by one taking my time however it wasn't time before I was running several accounts, and I was operating an entire home improvement business. If you'd told me that my company would become the basis for a DIY Network show, I likely would have laughed. Even now, when I look back on this situation and think about it, I laugh.
